RICHMOND HILL, GA (WSAV-TV) – Police, fire and emergency services surrounded a scene in Richmond Hill today. Several departments, city and county wide, responded to the call for public safety day in Bryan county.
It’s the 14th annual event that brings together various departments from Garden City, south Bryan county as well as the coast guard.
The day centers around family fun while honoring those who serve and building better relations between public safety groups and the Bryan county community.
“When they come out here they get to mix and mingle it builds a bigger report and it changes the image of public safety that we’re the good guys and we’re here to help,” says Bryan County emergency services chief Freddy Howell.
Proceeds will be donated to the two hundred club because that provides assistance to the family members of fallen and injured first responders in 18 Georgia and 2 South Carolina counties including Bryan county.
