Our Hometown: Georgetown Students Launch Fresh Water for Flint Drive

Local students are coming together to help families in Flint, Michigan as they continue to face a water crisis and they need your help.

Tuesday, March 22, join Georgetown K8 as they kick off their “Fresh Water for Flint” drive.

At 7am, school personnel and the school’s mascot — George the Lion — will be out in front of the school holding up signs encouraging students and the entire community to get involved.

The collection drive will last through Friday, April 1.

The water will then be transported along with collections from a local non-profit to Flint.

Teachers hope that by helping the families in Flint, students will learn lessons about the importance of giving to others.
