Esther F. Garrison School of Visual and Performing Arts wind ensemble have a lot to be proud of. Last Friday, March 11 the group performed three selections that received high ratings from the judges. Each piece was judged on tone, intonation, technique, balance, and musicality. They performed the’ Golden Gate March’ and ‘Come Though Fount of Every Blessing’ that had ‘A’ ratings in all the board in all categories. Their ‘Encanto’ piece received two A’s and one B. They were also judged on their sight reading which shows how much technical accuracy, flexibility, interpretation and musical effect a band or orchestra has.
