Following last Thursday’s gun firing incident at Savannah Mall during a Craigslist deal that went wrong, Metro police are now seeking the public’s help identifying and locating a person of interest who may know more about the robbery on Abercorn Street.
According to the release from Eunicia Baker, surveillance images captured at the time of the incident show a white female in her late teens with medium length blonde hair, slender to average build wearing a green shirt with white print.
According to Savannah Mall General Manager, the incident took place just before 2 p.m. on March 3 when Nicholas Rivera, 28 met another man for a Craigslist transaction of a laptop computer. The unidentified suspect took the computer and ran out of the mall with Rivera chasing him. Once outside police said Rivera fired a warning shot into the air and then continued following the suspect when he entered a burgundy sedan with at least three other occupants. The sedan fled toward Highway 204.
The robbery suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, possibly in his late teens to early 20’s. The suspect was clean-shaven with his hair styled in twists or a short afro. During the incident, he wore a black jacket and blue jeans.
