Jeans for teens huge success in Savannah

We recently told you about a local high school student who is all about community service. In a follow up tonight, Savannah Arts Academy senior Alexis Stevens makes good on her mission to help others. Bags and bag of jeans was the result of Alexis getting her schoolmates to collect jeans for homeless teens. Joining the national movement was a huge success.  Some students donated by cleaning out their closets, others went door to door in their neighborhoods. Alexis made the surprise delivery to Union Mission today. The Union Mission staff couldn’t believe their eyes. They are greatful for Alexis’ good spirit and support for homeless teens. The jean drive even turned competitive, one class collected more than 400 pairs of jeans.
Alexis says the real winners are homeless teens.
