Savannah, GA – The Johnson Lady Atomsmashers were in full practice today, February 26th, as they prepare for the final four game on Saturday, February 27th against Morgan County. Johnson faces Morgan County at Augusta University at 3:00 pm. This is the first time the Lady Atomsmashers are in the final four. Two years ago they made it as far as the Elite 8. But Coach Brandon Lindsey says, this team has the championship drive. Not only because they lost in the Elite 8, but because of the chemistry this team has this year, Coach Lindsey said. The girls practiced with the Johnson Boys team. Coach Lindsey believes that the boys challenge the girls in a different way and definitely don’t go easy on them.

Now the Liberty County Panthers had a short practice on Friday, February 26th. Coach Julian Stokes, didn’t want to over work them. He had them out on the court shooting around for a bit. This is Coach Stokes first year as the Panthers head basketball coach. The Panthers lost last year in the semifinals, so they are looking for a bit of revenge. Liberty County is facing the Lithonia Bulldogs on Saturday, February 27th at Fort Valley State at 4:45.
