SCMPD Needs Public’s Help Identifying Tire Thief

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police’s West Chatham Precinct investigators are looking to identify a suspect who stole several tires from a tire shop on Ogeechee Road, Monday evening. According to a news release sent by Public Information’s Officer Darnisha Green, the owner of the shop didn’t notice the tires were missing until Tuesday afternoon and surveillance video shows a black male suspect entering the property in what is believed to be a 2002-2004, dark colored, four-door Lexus vehicle just before 7 a.m. Monday.

The suspect stole tires from the side of the building, leaving with them in his backseat, returned the next day and can be seen on camera taking tires from a panel truck at the location at exactly 6:30 a.m. The suspect is described as a black male, dark skin complexion with a slim build. During the robberies, he had on a blue jacket with red sleeves, with the word “Fresh” written on the back, and blue jeans with a black baseball cap with a white logo.
