Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have charged Travarius Gray, 21, with felony murder, one count of malice murder and possession of a firearm/knife in the commission of a crime in the death of Jimmy Temple, according to a release sent by Darnisha Green. Gray was served the warrants at the Chatham County Detention Center where he is currently being held on unrelated charges.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are looking for whoever shot and killed 24-year-old Jimmy Temple in the 600 block of Yamacraw Village this afternoon.
It happened around 1:15 this afternoon. Metro officers observed Temple suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center in serious condition, where he died from his injuries.
Police continue to investigate the shooting, and detectives are working to identify suspects.
