SCMPD has identified 23-year-old Rakeem Reynolds as a suspect in a December 6th shooting that injured a teenager.
He is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Reynolds is also wanted by the Brunswick Police Department for a separate shooting and armed robbery in January, in that case he’s charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
At about 5 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, Metro’s SWAT team, in conjunction with Brunswick PD, attempted to arrest Reynolds during a warrant service at his residence on the 1900 block of East 63rd Street in Savannah but Reynolds wasn’t home.
They did find three firearms linked to Reynolds during their search of the residence.
Metro investigators are working to determine whether Reynolds is linked to other crimes in Savannah. He is believed to frequent areas from Brunswick to Savannah.
Reynolds is described a black male with a dark complexion, standing about 5’8″ and weighing roughly 165lbs. He wears his hair in dreadlocks.
