After the shocking killing of Mercer basketball star and former Benedictine cadet, a GoFund Me page has been set up to help raise money for Bryan’s young son. The mother of Jibri’s son, Amarie Youngblood, also attended school in Savannah. She was apart of H.V. Jenkins High class of 2010, and the 2010 class officers have set up the account in hopes of collecting money for the grieving mother.
The page states, “although a monetary value cannot be placed on a loved one’s life, he has left behind a small son. All proceeds will be presented to Amarie Youngblood and her family in support of their small child.”
Donations are open not only to the Jenkins community but everyone. The goal is $1500, and the site has already reached over $400 in just nine hours.
