Following an armed robbery in the parking lot of Parker’s in Bluffton, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has obtained an arrest warrant to charge Drevon Robinson, 18, for charges of Kidnapping. Robinson has already been charged with two counts of Robbery while Armed with a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of Violent Crime. According to the news release by the Office, Robinson was caught by a South Carolina Department of Resources (SCDNR) Officer, who saw both Robinson and an unidentified male robbing two women at gunpoint. Robinson is behind bars and was served the new charge of Kidnapping.
The unidentified man was able to escape on foot towards Malphrus Road and has yet to be located. He is described as an African-American male, 5’7″, lean build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with faded orange pants and a red bandana covering his face. The victims reported that the unidentified man had a handgun and a .380 semi-automatic pistol was also taken from Robinson by SCDNR Officer upon his arrest.
Before the robbery took place, Robinson and the unidentified man were spotted getting out of a black SUV, the driver left the area and may have been waiting to pick them up nearby.
