Flood Damage: Jersey Shore

The Jersey Shore got a direct hit from the latest winter storm with some saying the damage is WORSE than it was during Superstorm Sandy.

West Wildwood saw the worst flooding the area has ever seen.  There’s several feet of water in Ocean City, Sea Isle City and Stone Harbor.

The massive winter storm caused record high tides.   West Wildwood became a virtual island.

Tonight, the water is mostly gone, but so is the sea wall that protected the town, now a tangled mess.  Town officials call the damage catastrophic, and with another storm on the way, they have to rebuild… FAST.

Some say it’s worse than Sandy as the water was 6 to 8 inches higher.
