Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) says the all-clear has been given at Port Wentworth Elementary. This morning, students were transported to Rice Creek School due to a bomb threat at a building adjacent to Port Wentworth Elementary.
An SCCPSS advisory says students are being provided lunch and classrooms for instruction at Rice Creek School. Parents who wish to pick up their children early may do so at Rice Creek. Otherwise, Port Wentworth students will be transferred back to Port Wentworth Elementary early this afternoon to finish out the school day.
Chatham County School Officials say Port Wentworth Elementary was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat in the area. Students were transferred to Rice Creek School as a precaution.
The threat was called into Schneider Logistics, a logistics services company.
All students are safe and accounted for.
