Wanted Sex Offender Could Be in Downtown Savannah

Chatham County Sheriff’s are asking for the public’s help finding a convicted sex offender on the run for months.

“Right now we don’t know where he is.” explains Investigator Shania Gardner of the CCSO SORT Team.

That’s why Chatham county sheriff’s have turned to News 3 Fugitive Files for help finding 22 year old Javari Moss.

His sentence for cruelty to children was just the beginning of his trouble with the law.

“He has no registry violations but he does have multiple probation violations” explained Gardner. “So Mr Moss is familiar with the rules, he’s been doing this a while, he knows what he can and cannot do and any violations up to this point is blatant disrespect and disregard for the rules.”

He didn’t follow the rules when switched his address to the Inner City Shelter, and then never lived there.

Moss is 5 foot 7, 170 pounds, and could still be in Downtown Savannah, near Eagle Street or the Inner City Night Shelter.

“Its more ground that we have to cover. More places he could be hiding in,” said Gardner. “It makes it a lot more difficult. Its more dangerous for the public and for us also.”
