LANSING, N.Y. (WIVB) — 17 miners are trapped at the Cargill Salt Mine in Lansing near Ithaca.

An emergency call was reported around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday night. The mine employees are stuck “775 feet down” in an elevator shaft, according to a CBS affiliate who spoke with the Ithaca Fire Department.
