Could Solar Panels Steal Sunlight? Residents In One Town Think So.

Woodland, North Carolina residents voted down a permit to install a new solar farm because of fears that the solar panels would steal sunlight that plants use for photosynthesis and that the panels would take up all of the sun’s energy.

Other concerns were that solar farms would drive down property values and depress the overall value of surrounding farms or could cause cancer.

Even with some residents supporting the idea for the permit of the new solar farm, it was voted down, 3 to 1.
