Only voters who are residents of the City of Savannah are eligible to vote in the Runoff Election. Any Savannah voter who was eligible to vote in the Municipal General Election on November 3 is also eligible to vote in the Runoff Election, even if they did not vote in that election. Voters who need to determine where they vote can find that information by using the “My Voter Page” service provided by the state, or by contacting the Voter Registration office at (912) 790-1520. The “My Voter Page” service can be found on the home page of the Board of Elections web site http://Elections.ChathamCounty.org. Voters need to bring an appropriate form of photographic ID; information can be found on the Board of Elections web site http://Elections.ChathamCounty.org via the link at the bottom of the home page.
Sample ballots are available through the “My Voter Page” service or on the Board of Elections web site under the 2015 Elections heading. Locate the voting precinct and click the number in the sample ballot column on the right side of the list.
No campaigning is allowed within 150 feet of the polling facility or within 25 feet of a voter standing in line to vote. Doing so is a misdemeanor punishable under Georgia law, and local law enforcement and the Secretary of State have pledged to provide increased presence at the polls. Maps for each polling location indicating the 150 foot boundary can be found on the Board of Elections web site http://Elections.ChathamCounty.org. We urge anyone who observes improper campaigning activity outside a polling location not to confront violators themselves. Rather, they should report it immediately to the poll manager at that location or to the Board of Elections at (912) 201-4375.
