Savannah Metro Police say they are investigating an apparent murder suicide that began early Saturday evening on the southside. They say officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute involving two people driving in separate vehicles on Abercorn Street. Authorities say dispatchers could hear shots being fired from one vehicle to the other.
Police say the dispute continued until the vehicles reached the area of Edgewater Road near Montgomery Cross Road That’s when the driver of one vehicle crashed into the other vehicle. Police said both drivers were dead from gunshot wounds when officers arrived on scene.
Police say the initial investigation appears that the incident is a murder-suicide, but that the investigation is ongoing. No names were released.
