As technology and everyday task continue to merge together, one on-demand grocery delivery system is bringing their services to Savannah.
Shipt, which specializes in home service delivery of groceries, will begin serving the people of Savannah and Tybee Island come December 2.
The company will offer delivery from local Publix stores within hours of orders.
Customers will be able to select their groceries (including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy etc.) and identify any preferences (green bananas or slightly under-ripe tomatoes).
Then a Shipt Shopper will head out to a local Publix to handpick the items and deliver them to the customer’s home or office during a designated delivery window.
Savannah will be Shipt’s 16th market, and the second in Georgia. The first opened in Atlanta.
