U.S. government issues new travel alert through the holidays

An updated travel alerts was issued because of increased terrorist threats overseas.

It says that terrorist groups like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Boko Haram are planning attacks in multiple regions.

The alert advises American citizens who travel to avoid crowds and be vigilant in public places. Officials urge you to be aware of your surroundings.

The updated travel alert expires on February 24th
