It’s the time of year when we often think of others. In the Lowcountry, Bluffton Cub Scouts helped spread holiday cheer by giving back.

This week, Wolf Den of Pack 212 took part in their first Community Service Project.

Den leaders, Wendy and Ed Smalls, teamed up with the Resurrection Christian Community Church in Hilton Head to serve a holiday dinner to families in the community.

The Wolf Scouts set up for the event and cleaned up after dinner was complete.

Members of the congregation also invited the scouts and their families to enjoy the holiday meal with them.

Scout leaders say the project gave the young men an opportunity to give back to their community and assist in helping others during the holidays and other times on the year.
