WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTNH) — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Home Depot have issued a warning to consumers regarding 28 products that have continued to be sold at Home Depot after being recalled between 2012 and 2015.
The 28-product recall includes roughly 2,310 units of recalled products, 1,300 of which are being sold at Home Depot retailers, and another 1,010 of which have been sold by Home Depot to salvagers or recyclers. These latter 1,010 units have consequently been sold to unsuspecting buyers. Depending on the product, hazards include fire, burn, shock, falls, lacerations, or other injuries.
The CPSC and Home Depot urge owners of these items to stop using them immediately. They may contact the recalling firms to receive either a refund, replacement, or repair.
