Corrections Officer busted in undercover sting

His job was to guard prisoners at the Chatham County jail, now he is one of them.  A county corrections officer is behind bars charged with  smuggling cigarettes and drugs into the jail in exchange for money.

Naji Cooley was arrested last week after an undercover operation. Investigators set up a sting after they began to suspect that Cooley was providing inmates with contraband..

Investigators say Cooley approached an undercover officer and arranged a deal, he was arrested after he allegedly completed the transaction.  He is being held at the Chatham County Detention Center.
