Five people are being held for questioning by French police in a suburb in northern Paris following a raid on ISIS miliatants suspected of being behind last week’s deadly attacks on the French capital.

A woman blew herself up at the house during the raid.

French police were involved in a prolonged shootout in the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis early Wednesday, where a Belgian ISIS militant suspected of masterminding the attacks was believed to be holed up.

Witnesses said shooting began at about 4:30 a.m. local time and police special forces of the raid unit were still involved in exchanges of fire three hours later.

Three police officers and a passerby were injured in the assault.

A coordinated series of bombings and shootings in Paris last Friday killed 129 people, the worst atrocity in France since WWII.

Investigators soon linked the attacks to a militant cell in Belgium which was in contact with ISIS in Syria.
