Covert Aire™ is teaming up with several companies to make sure those in need have heat in their homes this winter through Operation Warm Up. Bluffton-based heating and air company, Covert Aire™, will donate up to $10,000 to fix, replace or repair the heat in as many area homes as possible.
Federal programs exist to aid homeowners in paying their heating bills, however, it is more difficult to find funding for those in need of repairs to or a replacement of their heating system. Mike Covert, president of Covert Aire™, wants to help those families with broken units in the Lowcountry.
“No one should be cold….especially the elderly and the very young,” says Covert. “Covert Aire has pledged $10,000 to spend and we will spend it as far as possible.”
Those interested in being considered for Operation Warm Up should submit their story or the story of someone they know explaining why they have a heating issue and cannot afford to fix it. Non-profit groups and civic organizations can also submit nominations of someone in need of heating repairs.
Submit the story of your family or friend for Operation Warm Up at http://www.covertaire.com by clicking on the “Contact Us” tab. Fill out the form along with the story of the individual or family you are nominating. All entries received will be confidentially sent to Mike Covert directly. Forms must be submitted between Nov. 15 through Nov. 27 in order to be considered. Those chosen will not have their names released, unless explicit consent to use the name, likeness and photograph is given.
In addition to Covert Aire™, Bryant ®, AMANA ® and Alpha Media are sponsors of Operation Warm Up.
