Feed The Hungry announces holiday dinners schedule

Feed The Hungry has announced it’s 2015-2016 Holiday Dinners in 12 cities schedule. The charity is once again offering free Thanksgiving dinner to deserving families and the homeless  in a dozen communities.   Here are the times and locations:

  • November 17th – Senior Citizen Center , Pembroke, GA – 12 noon
  • November 18th – Holiday Inn Express, Port Wentworth, GA – 5 pm
  • November 18th – Kingdom Touch Ministries, Ridgeland, SC – 5 pm
  • November 19th – Frank Johnson Community Center, Macon, GA – 4 pm
  • November 20th – Agape Worship Center, Levi, SC – 6 pm
  • November 21st – Bull Durham Center, Allendale, SC – 6 pm
  • November 21st – The Redan Event Center, Stone Mountain, GA – 10 am
  • November 22nd – Special Turkey Give-Away for SC Residents (Location TBA)
  • November 23rd – YMCA, Hinesville, GA – 4 pm
  • November 24th – National Guard, Savannah, GA – 5 pm
  • November 25th – Buccaneer Club, Townsend, GA – 12 noon
  • November 25th – The H. Community Center, Brunswick, GA – 5 pm

The 7th Annual Thanksgiving Holiday Dinner will be held November 24th at the National Guard Armory in Savannah. Some six thousand people are expected to attend.  Organizers hope to collect 2000 turkeys and other items for the dinner.They need cans of vegetables, rice, cranberry sauce, cakes, pies, beverages and toys.  Feed The Hungry expects to served over 45 thousand people this holiday season.

On November 14th at 10 am there will be a Volunteer Orientation at 10 am at the Family Life Center located at 4011 Augusta Rd. Garden City, GA 31408
