Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department has secured a warrant for the Park Avenue home invasion according to a news release sent out by Eunicia Baker.
The warrant is for the arrest of Billy Lee, 35, of Savannah who is the prime suspect in the home invasion near West Park Avenue and Jefferson Street back in August.
Lee is wanted for aggravated assault, aggravated battery and burglary.
In the early morning of August 30, an armed intruder who fits Lee’s description entered the residence, confronting one male and one female occupant.
A fight began between the male victim and the intruder and the suspect may have been injured with a knife.
The intruder fired his gun, but no one was hit.
The male victim sustained serious, but non-life threatening injured from the fight while the female victim went unharmed.
As the victims fled to a neighbor’s house the intruder fled.
Lee is described as a black male, standing 5-8 and weighing 220 pounds. He may have scars on his shoulders and/or back. Lee sometimes drives a gold 2003 Ford Windstar van, with Georgia license plate PPI 7880. Lee also may be driving a small black sedan. He is known to frequent west Savannah.
