Our Hometown: Oatland Island Hosts Harvest Festival and Cane Grinding

You’re invited to experience an old time southern tradition as Oatland Island Wildlife Center celebrates Georgia’s agricultural history with the “Harvest Festival and Cane Grinding”  Saturday, November 21 from 10 am until 4 pm.

Enjoy the festive fall celebration while taking in the aromas of simmering cane syrup, copper kettle apple butter and other open fire cooked foods that you can also sample.

There will be hay rides, pony rides, crafts and games for the kids including the “Native Animal Nature Trail.” Music will be provided by the Savannah Folk Music Society.
