Fatal Crash Shuts Down Talmadge Bridge

Law enforcement was forced to shut down the Talmadge bridge early Sunday morning after a fatal accident.

A Metro Police spokesperson says just after 12:45 a.m., officers responded to the scene of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Ave, at the foot of the Talmadge.

The wreck shut down the Oglethorpe entry and exit ramps to the bridge but they re-opened at about 3 a.m.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident, we’ll bring you the latest information as it becomes available to us.
