Chatham County Health Department will be holding a drive-through flu vaccination clinic on Tuesday, November 17 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the empty lot on Sallie Mood Drive, across from the Chatham County Aquatic Center.
According to a news release, the flu shot will be available for $29, high-dose flu vaccine for people 65 and older will be $50.
Chatham County is one of many in the Coastal Health District counties to host a drive-through flu vaccination clinic on the 17th.
Partnering agencies including Chatham Emergency Management Agency, local law enforcement, and the Salvation Army will be participating in the event.
Drive-through vaccinations will be offered at the following locations:
Effingham County, 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Effingham County Health Department, 802 Hwy. 119 South, Springfield
Glynn County, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Glynn County Health Department, 2747 Fourth Street, Brunswick
Liberty County, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Getting vaccinated is the best protection against the flu and there is no more convenient way to get vaccinated than never having to leave your own vehicle,” said Coastal Health District Health Director, Diane Weems, M.D. “We are also using this clinic as a way to assess public health’s ability to quickly provide medication should it become necessary during a real world event.”
