Another shark attack, this time off Waikiki Saturday night.
It’s the second off O’ahu today, and the third in a little more than a week.
It’s now also the seventh shark attack in Hawaiian waters this year.
Shortly before 7 p.m. a shark bit a 33-year-old local man in the left foot.
Police say the attack was behind their substation off Kuhio beach and past the break.
Paramedics took the victim to the Queens Medical Center in serious condition.
Officers at the scene told KHON2 the foot was intact.
There were no lifeguards on duty at the time as their shifts end at 5-30.
Emergency Services says no one is putting up signs. Waikiki beach is open. But officials will reassess tomorrow.
KHON2 does not have any records of any shark attacks in Waikiki, and neither does the state’s online listing which dates back 20 years.
