S.C. Football Coach Steve Spurrier is Retiring

According to The State , Steve Spurrier, 70, head football coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks announced Monday night he is retiring.

An interim coach will be named Tuesday, according to a source and could possibly be quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus.

Spurrier coached for school’s including Duke and Florida, and is the Gamecock’s all-time winningest coach.

He leaves his football career with a 228-89-2 record.
