Parents come together Talking Community Involvement

SAVANNAH, GA – Parents had the opportunity to weigh in on how they want the community to change. They held the discussion during a parent engagement break out at the Savannah Classical Academy.

The event was sponsored by Parent University and Early Learning College. The goal of it though is getting parents engaged with one another.

Breakout sessions were used to share concerns and solutions for issues like crime, bullying, home security and the safety their children.

“The bottom line is that everyone comes out of here nourished and edified and knowledgeable of all things that are available to them and their community and their responsibility to engage in those resources,” says Michael O’Neal of Parent University.

Parent University is a branch service of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School systems. You can find out more about being involved in the initiative that encourages parent involvement and participation in the education of our community’s children and youth by going to their website.
