It’s time to gear up for severe weather conditions, especially flooding, if you haven’t already.

The local American Red Cross is placing shelters and volunteers on stand-by and pre-positioning trailers filled with shelter supplies and working closely with local government officials to support the community.

There is expected to be heaving rains for the next few days with flooding and storm surges prevalent in coastal communities.

The Red Cross is urging people in coastal states to be prepared and stay informed.
