Bulloch County Law Enforcement says two bomb threats have prompted the evacuation of four schools in the county on Tuesday.
The threats were called into William James and Langston Chapel middle schools between 10:30 and 10:37 a.m and a third call was made to Mill Creek Elementary about an hour and a half later.
Officials evacuated Mill Creek Elementary, both middle schools, and Langston Chapel Elementary which is adjacent to Langston Chapel Middle.
Sheriff’s deputies say students from these four schools will be sent home for the day. They do not believe the bomb threats are credible, but are using the utmost caution.
Bulloch County School Officials released the following information for parents.
“Superintendent Charles Wilson made the decision to cancel school for these four campuses for the remainder of the day while public safety personnel complete their investigation. Parents are being being contacted via our electronic messaging system.
School buses have been mobilized and students are being taken home.
If your child is a car rider at the Langston schools, pick your child up from the Agricultural Building across the street from the schools.
If your child is a car rider at Mill Creek, please pick them up across the street at Mill Creek Park.
If your child is a car rider at William James Middle, please pick them up at the front of the school.”
