SCMPD investigating early Saturday morning shooting, 1 injured

SAVANNAH, GA–

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives seek information on a shooting that injured a 15-year-old boy early Saturday morning.

At about 12:35 a.m., police met the teen at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital. The teen arrived in a privately-owned vehicle and he was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The shooting occurred on Skidaway Road and East 36th Street. Detectives believe the victim was riding in a vehicle at that intersection when an unidentified male opened fire.  No other injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as black male with his hair styled in twists.
