MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) – Firefighters are trying to extinguish a blaze at a Marietta apartment complex that was reportedly rattled by an explosion.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that firefighters arrived at the Crestmont apartments around 10:20 a.m. Monday.
Marietta city spokeswoman Lindsey Wiles said three people were taken to a hospital with various injuries. None of the wounds were serious.
Witnesses told firefighters that they heard an explosion. Wiles said fire crews will not be able to explore the cause of the blaze until the flames are extinguished.
Cobb County officials have shut down nearby Williams Drive.
