UPDATE: Gas Leak Forces Evacuations In Downtown Savannah

Gas Leak at Habersham and Hall Streets in Savannah

Neighbors have been allowed to return home after a gas leak in downtown Savannah forced the evacuations of homes and businesses.  It started just after 6:15 p.m. at Hall and Habersham Streets when a construction crew cut a gas line.  The area was  blocked off for about two hours while the gas company replaced the damaged line.  Streets blocked off because of the leak have also been reopened to traffic.
