A judge denies the gag order request made by a prosecutor in the case.

The gag order would have stopped comments by the defense attorney for former deputy Maxine Evans.

However, the superior court judge found the defense attorney’s comments were not likely to affect the trial.

Evans and two others are charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Matthew Ajibade, the young man who died in the Chatham county jail this past January.
