While gas prices in some parts of the Midwest have seen a dramatic spike, drivers in South Carolina are getting a little relief at the pump. Prices have dropped to under two dollars a gallon. According to gas buddy-dot-com, the national average for a gallon of gas is $2.64 a gallon, down 18 cents from two weeks ago. Triple-A is reporting the national average even lower at $2.61 a gallon. That’s down nearly 90 cents from last summer. Experts say that lower crude oil prices are the reason for the price drop, and that more price cuts could be on the way.
