Trump’s Invitation To GOP Event Gets Withdrawn After Comments To Fox’s Kelly

ATLANTA (AP) – A quartet of Republican presidential hopefuls appears before conservative activists gathered in Atlanta today.

The lineup includes former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Unlike the Fox News debates that divided the 17-candidate field into two groups on crowded stages, the RedState Gathering in Atlanta later today offers several of those seeking the Republican nomination a half-hour all to themselves.

The lineup includes former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

RedState’s Erick Erickson says he’s withdrawing his invitation to businessman Donald Trump because of a comment Trump made about Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly.

In response, Trump’s campaign calls Erickson “weak and pathetic.”
