Attention shoppers!

In South Carolina you get the chance for a little savings this weekend as “tax-free” weekend is back in the palmetto state.

The event starts at retailers today, and lasts through Sunday. From clothing to school supplies, and even computers, you’ll get a break on everything you need for back to school and more. NEWS 3 talked with one of the biggest retailers in our area, Tanger Outlets, about the importance of this weekend to businesses there.

“This is a great weekend for us, we see traffic numbers almost as high as black Friday for this time of year. So, its a very important weekend for us, Its also strategically placed for back to school time,”says outlet manager, Ashley Doepp.

The Outlets are pulling out all the stops to get as many shoppers in the doors as possible, opening an hour earlier all three days. Which means doors open at 9am today and tomorrow and at 10am on Sunday morning.

“This is a huge marking point for us throughout the summer. And it really does help decide how the holiday season will trend for us. There will be sales at every store, there’s always great savings but I can guarantee you there will be a lot of great discounts and deals.”
