Chatham County students head back to school tomorrow and the pressure is on the new school bus company. If you have bus problems, concerns or questions you’re asked to call Reliant Transportation, a subsidiary of MV Transportation, at 912-201-5591.
Nikki Frenney-Wiggins, MV Transportation’s Vice President of Communications, said Reliant has a dedicated 10 person staff that is manning the call center. You can call with concerns or questions tomorrow and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The call center will then operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All of the buses are equipped with an automatic vehicle locator so if it’s running late Reliant will be able to tell you where it is.
“Information will automatically feed back to our call center in our offices to know where that bus is. In turn, School Reach will either text message, email or call parents to let them know or give them an update on where the bus is,” said Frenney-Wiggins.
School Reach will not be available the first week of school.
