Metro Police Investigate Hit And Run Crash That Injured Bluffton Man

Metro Police are investigating a hit and run crash early this morning that injured a Bluffton Man.  Investigators are trying to identify the driver of a pickup truck that struck a car on Interstate 516 and the West Bay Street Interchange shortly before 2:30 this morning.  The 2002 Ford 150 Pickup was abandoned at the scene.  54 year old Rufus Wiggins was in the 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass struck by the truck.  Police say he was traveling east when the pickup approached from behind and attempted to change lanes before hitting the left fender of the car.  The impact then caused the Cutlass to hit a concrete guardrail.    Wiggins was transported to Memorial with serious injuries.
