This Sunday, you’re invited to doctor Ja Jahannes’ latest project — ‘Thought My Soul Would Rise and fly’– a production centered on Savannah’s civil rights movement that parallels the plight between African American and Jewish communities.
Dr. Jahannes’ daughter — Lucia — has taken on the role of director for the play which also features the music of her father.
The one night performance takes place July 26 at the Jewish Educational Alliance (JEA) beginning at 5 pm.
