Trooper Helps Stranded Motorist in the Heat

(WJTV) – A good deed done by a Mississippi state trooper is getting a lot of attention on social media.Trooper Andrew Beaver is getting praised for helping a man and a 1-year-old boy after the vehicle they were in stopped on the highway.

The Clarion Ledger reported that Jeremy Cannon was with his nephew on Highway 45 in Lowndes County when his truck stopped.

Angela Cannon Wells posted on her Facebook page on July 17, that she was grateful that the trooper stopped to help, while she was in route to pick them up. Wells said even though it was 11 a.m. on that day, it was already 97 degrees outside.

She said in her post that the trooper suggested that her son and her grandson sit in his patrol car to keep cool as they waited for her to arrive.

The trooper also called a tow truck and paid the towing fee, she said. She said the trooper only asked for them pay it forward in some way.
