(WBAL) What would you do if you encountered cash on your commute?
An armored truck spilled thousands of dollars in cash around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday onto Interstate 895, closing the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel for hours.
One driver described the scene as a money storm with cash swirling around the tunnel like confetti. Drivers noticed at one point that the road surface appeared to be papered in $20 bills. Drivers stopped in both lanes of the tunnel and began picking it all up.
“It would be a little tempting, I’m not even going to lie, especially if I’m stopped at a standstill, and I mean, the money is right there. All I got to do is open up the door reach down and grab it,” said Betsy Davis.
