SOUTHSIDE SAVANNAH- Getting back to work can be one of the biggest hurdles for many people who fall on hard times. This is especially the case for single mothers who have to worry about another mouth to feed.
That’s where Shelter From the Rain comes in. The Savannah non profit provides single mothers with everything from job search help to school supplies and food. Saturday they hosted a job assistance class, one of many classes the group holds to spread the word to single mothers out there that they’re not alone.
“We know that you need but what are you working towards so staying focused on goals that you have for your life so that you can be not only a provider for your children but so that you can reach some things some goals that you have set for yourself because your children are watching those things too,” says non profit president and single mother herself, Jennifer Graham.
