This week’s recalls include 780,000 vehicles from General Motors, crossover SUVs because the rear power lift gates can suddenly fall and hit people. The recall covers the Buick Enclave (2008-2012) – the Chevrolet Traverse from 2009 TO 2012, the GMC Acadia from 2007 TO 2012 and the Saturn Outlook from 2007 TO 2010. Dealers will replace faulty struts and update lift gate control motor software.
Land Rover is also recalling more than 65,000 vehicles due to a glitch in the door latches which can actually cause the doors to fly open while the vehicle’s in motion.
This recall covers 2013 to 2016 range rovers and 2014 to 2016 range rover sport models. Dealers will also fix this by updating the keyless entry software.
There’s also a big food recall, more than 1.7 million pounds of frozen, stuffed chicken products from Barber Foods are recalled because the could be contaminated with salmonella. This recall involves frozen, raw, stuffed chicken packages including Chicken Kiev, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Chicken Tenders and Chicken Broccoli Cheese.
