(KBJR) An anonymous donor is hoping a $1 million dollar reward will help a pair of the world’s most famous shoes find their way home.
The search for the famous ruby slippers stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota is only a month away from hitting the ten year mark.
The museum’s pair of the ruby slippers was one of only four known to exist. They were stolen in 2005.
The reward will be given to anyone who can either prove where the slippers are or supply them to the Grand Rapids Police.
“This particular reward has been put up by someone in Arizona who is a very, very big ‘Wizard of Oz’ fan,” said Rob Feeney, a media consultant representing the donor. “I can’t give you more details beyond that.”
